About

Pikes Peak United Way along with Care & Share Food Bank have partnered to distribute food to local families in need. Every first and third Thursday in the Mitchell High School parking lot, we distribute over 20,000 pounds of food to between 150-300 families. We operate a drive-through style food distribution to make a more efficient distribution. It is a fun and engaging way to help our community and we could not do this without your help!

Activities Include:

  • Unpacking produce and canned goods
  • Prepackaging to-go bags for students/teachers
  • Setting up each food station and distributing to guests as they drive through
  • Signing in guests
  • Traffic control
  • Clean-up
